Knowing me, knowing you aaaahh haaa!

Hello loves!

Lovely Becky posted a getting to know you quiz on her blog doesmyblogmakemelookfat. You know I love quizzy things so here I am with Christmas bells on! If you want to fill it in feel free and please post your link in the comments when you have.

1. What did you study in University? I left school at 16. I regret it now, but at the time I was living with my mum and and younger brother. We needed the money so I went to work.

2. When was the last time you cried? A week ago, perhaps. This is major, because a month ago I was crying at least once a day.

3. Do you have kids? Not yet. I do want them. I've had 2 ectopic pregnancies and only have one fallopian tube now. I had the other one removed in 2011 when the pregnancy burst the tube. I'm not sure if I can be a mum. I haven't had my remaining tube tested to see if it works yet. We'll see!

4. If you were another person, would you be a friend of yourself?  Mmm. I'm not sure. I can be hard work sometimes. Although I'm caring and I think I'm a good listener, I do like my own space too. That's not to say I'm not there for people but I can't deal with a friendship where you are in each other's pockets 24/7. I need a little time to myself to decompress a bit. I've only been like this since I've had Fibro & CFS. I bolster up my real life friendships with lots of connecting over the internet.

5. Do you use sarcasm a lot? Yes. I have a very dry sense of humour and like sarky/funny people. If someone can make me wheeze from laughing, I will love them!

6. Will you ever bungee-jump? God no! I'd have a heart attack.

7. What's your favorite cereal? Porridge with fruit, seeds and agave nectar.

8. What's the first thing you notice about people? Their overall vibe. I usually have a good sense of how nice a person is when I first meet them, but I tend to ignore my first impression if it's a bad one, usually to my cost later on. Like the saying goes 'When someone shows you who they are, trust them the first time.' Once I've sussed them out then I move onto physical attributes. In men, that list is eyes/hair/bum/shoes/trouser bulge. Hahaha!

9. What is your eye colour? Hazel.

10. Scary movie or happy endings? I'm not a great fan of horror films because when something scares me I scream. I'd never go to see a horror film at the cinema because I'd be a nervous wreck. Someone only has to drop a book and I jump out of my skin. ;)

11. Favorite smells? Vanilla, vetiver, freshly baked bread, the smell of my hubby when we're cuddling, bacon cooking, wood smoke, apple pie.

12. Summer or winter? I'll be awkward and say Spring & Autumn. I have asthma so I struggle to breathe in the heat and the cold. I'd rather be too cold than too hot though, as you can always add more clothes, but in summer you can't go about nekkid!

13. Computer or television? Puter. You can watch everything on there anyway - Youtube, iPlayer all that jazz. Plus *cough* downloads.

14. What's the furthest you've ever been from home? I'm not that great with geography, but I think it's Gran Canaria. I've mainly been to sunny places like Ibiza, Greece etc. The only places that weren't summer sun holidays have been two trips to Sweden to see our friends Pete & Marina.

15. Do you have any special talents? I'm an empath so that means I pick up on things that other people might miss. It only works in person. I can pick up on emotions - they're like tiny vibrations. If I'm around someone down I will get down. If I'm around someone really happy I'll pick that up too. Everywhere I go I pick up on people's feelings. If I'm in a queue for the supermarket I might find myself being emotionally sucked into the conversation by a couple at the till next door who are having a row. In a crowded noisy room it's like a cacophony in my head trying to filter out all the feelings. I've always been a bit witchy, ever since I was a small child. A particular gift is knowing people are pregnant before they do. However, when it comes to my own life I have no wisdom at all! :) I think there's a correlation between people with chronic health conditions and empaths. We carry the weight of the world on our shoulders and that's bound to take a toll eventually.

16. Where were you born? Dartford, Kent. It's about 20 miles away from London.

17. What are your hobbies? Blogging, photography, shopping.

18. Do you have any pets? No. We can't have pets in this flat thanks to the stuck up residents association, but one day I'd like a menagerie. I want a couple of cows, a goat, some chickens, cats and dogs.

19. Favorite movie? The LOTR trilogy. I can't pick between the three.

20. Do you have any siblings? One brother, who is exactly a year and 6 weeks younger than me.

21. What do you want to be when you grow up? I'm not sure. It has to be something creative. Since I've been ill I've discovered how important an arty release is. I used to paint quite a lot but haven't for ages. I need to try to retrain in a job I can do from home. I'd quite like to get into graphic design. I don't know where to start and I don't know if I'd be any good at it, but it'd be good to try!
