I apologise in advance for posting allll the photos, but I'm so in love with this coat and this whole outfit. I think it might be my favourite outfit ever. I'd been watching this coat on ASOS for a couple of weeks waiting for it to go down further in the sale from its original price of £70. When it went down to half price I was in like a shot.
It's 50% wool and such good quality - it's a heavy coat. It's well sewn and the style - nipping in at the waist then out again - is my favourite in a coat. It's comfortable and looks so classy. I feel like a princess in it.
The fit is odd. I ordered a 28 to be on the safe side and I'm glad I did. It's close fitting on my boobs, generous on the waist and very accommodating on the hips. It's the perfect coat for extreme pear shapes.
It has two deep pockets. I can't be doing with these pathetic half pockets where you can't even get your whole hand in.
I got the faux fur tippet and ear muffs from eBay for another outfit I had/have planned, but they go so well with this coat. They came from China and took about a month to arrive, but who can complain at that price? They're both really warm too.
The photos were taken at Bedgebury Pinetum. It was absolutely bitter cold when we went on Sunday and we didn't stay very long - just long enough to take these photos and get some exercise in. It was tough - my asthmatic lungs slam shut in the cold at the best of times - and this bronchitis lingers on, but at least I got to breathe some fresh air. I'm over the flu entirely now and just waiting for the chest infection to go.
