Today I'm wearing one of the dresses you can see me wearing on the Scarlett and Jo website.
I decided to add a little more to this all-black outfit with some accessories. I'm wearing a jingle bell hair band from Peacocks (in store only, not online), a Hamsa hand necklace from Bluebirds and Daisies and my sparkly New Look shoes. As usual I'm wearing leggings from Very.
The dress is very stretchy and the lace sleeves are very soft. I wore this out to my family Christmas meal yesterday and then for a few hours of Christmas shopping and I was comfortable at all times. It's too short for my comfort to wear as a dress, so I'll always pair it with leggings and wear it like a top. It has soft shoulder pads in it which I think are a nice touch. I lived through the 80s and everything had huge shoulder pads in then. I quite miss them in a way. Ah, nostalgia for looking like an upside down triangle. :) I love black dresses as you can accessorise them in so many ways. I'm absolutely obsessed with black and gold at the moment, and if you are too you could add a gold belt as well as gold shoes. Black is the perfect foil for lots of bling too. Hair accessories, dangly earrings, a statement necklace - the world's your oyster.
I took these photos using my new brighter-than-the-sun soft boxes which Lolly recommended. They're amazing and light up the room on the darkest day/night. I can take photos more often now. :)
